We have some exciting news that we're anxious to share with the extended May family.

Last Friday, the May team was acquired by PixelFish, a local tech startup. The opportunity for our entire team to move in-house starting October 1, 2011 is a huge blessing for us individually, and as a company. We are excited to compliment their team and to work in an agile startup culture with some really smart and tech savvy people.

It was a difficult decision − because it means saying goodbye to our clients. We truly appreciate the loyalty and support we've received from all of you over the years.

We have just about a month to wrap all our current client work and tie up any loose ends. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have about the transition. We want to make it as smooth as possible for everyone.

Thanks again for all your support!

Meporter Logo

Meporter is a local mobile newsdesk for professional and citizen journalists. This location-based news app allows users to pinpoint news as it's happening in a local community, down to the street level. Eyewitnesses to breaking news can use Meporter to report on anything from weather and traffic to nightlife, local politics, dining and entertainment, professional sporting events or their kid's little league game. Stories can be shared within the Meporter community or with friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter.

May teamed up with the guys at Meporter at the beginning stages of the project. In a very collaborative process, May helped conceive the Meporter brand from color palette and logo, to style guide, website design, custom badge illustrations, and collateral design. Our dev team also worked in tandem with the Meporter backend developers to deliver all the front-end code and javascript. To gear up for their big launch at TechCrunch Disrupt we helped refine the pitch and design the presentation slides. Definitely one of our favorite projects to date.
